The Miracle Mile (Los Angeles hardcore) was the most underrated band ever. No idea how they didn’t blow up; they deserved it. Fast and pissed, like hc is supposed to be played. Also, awesome parts that stand out in every song that you’ll surely remember. Members went on to be in Dangers and Final Fight. They have two perfect covers: Nirvana “Territorial Pissings” and The Descendents “Suburban Home”. I think another reason why I like them so much is because they sung against falling for the gimmicks in trendy hardcore bands. Some lyrics include:
“Let’s make this past mean something more. More than the latest beauty queens. More than a pair of designer jeans. More than worthless harmonic parts. Number one on the Billboard Charts. More than listening to what you’re sold. Or fitting in to another mold. More than a suit: your noose=a tie. Fuck this melodic hardcore lullaby (sing)”
